SA Probes and electrodes

  • PDF

The major feature of the SA probes lies in the integration of the electrode- holder and the signal amplifier/ transmitter so as to offer the following advantages:

  • easy installation
  • long distance from the control instrument (max output resistance 200 ohms).
  • 12 V d.c. power supply
  • 4-20 mA output signal

The probes of Sodi Scientifica can accommodate electrodes for measurements of pH, Redox, conductivity and dissolved oxygen. Each measure (Redox excluded) can be temperature-compensated with no need for additional probes or electrodes. The calibration is carried out through the control instrument.

Electrodes

The electrodes for pH (A series) and Redox (ER series) are of glass- membrane single-tube type. The connector is easy to fit. The electrodes of the conductivity probe are in graphite and make an integral part of the same probe. Special electrodes are available on request. For heavy-duty applications contact our service department.

Dissolved oxygen characteristics

The novel measuring principle for the determination of dissolved oxygen is based on the three-electrode self-regulating potentiostatic system. The measurement transducers and the O2 electrodes exhibit high accuracy and reliability in addition to being of easy maintenance. The automatic calibration system is quickly and easily performed as the instrument is able to self- calibrating in the atmosphere. The automatic control of the sensor, provided with regeneration indication, improves the operation reliability. In case of damaged or worn out membrane, the instrument generates an alarm. The service life may be up to 5 years. The membrane is rugged and insensitive to pollution. Virtually flow-independent – min. flow 0.005 m/s.
