SODI SCIENTIFICA at INTERTRAFFIC 2012

Intertraffic 2012 has been the perfect showcase for Sodi Scientifica to launch officially the latest release of its new product AUTOSTOP HD on the International markets. A combined Red Light and Speed enforcement device that received high appreciation during the initial roadshow and demos to the pilot customers thanks to its versatility, modularity and up to date technology just to name few characteristics.

As usual this event represented the opportunity to meet police forces from all over the world and all our international partners. The fair was really a success and we registered a two digits increase of visitors at our booth, compared to the previous edition of 2010.

Sodi Scientifica meets Far East Highways Private Operators

The Far East is a Region that has proven to be very sensitive to the project "Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020" recently launched by the United Nations and many related activities took place already in the Region.

For its part, Sodi recently held a training workshop and an open discussion with the representatives of 10 Highways Private Operators present in the region, with the aim of presenting its high technology systems of traffic monitoring (Speed and Red Light enforcement) and to identify areas of cooperation among private companies for the general benefit of road safety.

United Nations’ Resolution for Improving Global Road Safety

In March 2010 the United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution 64/255 which proclaimed the period 2011–2020 as the Decade of Action for Road Safety. The goal of the Decade is to stabilize and then reduce the forecast level of road traffic fatalities around the world by increasing activities conducted at national, regional and global levels. The resolution requests World Health Organization and the United Nations regional commissions, to prepare a plan of action of the Decade as a guiding document to support the implementation of its objectives.
